Marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman and the adage that goes, “what God Had Joined Together, let no man put asunder” is a clear indication on how believers see the union of marriage. Although there are a considerable number of cases when married people separate for a number of reasons, and how the society look down on them thinking it was both their failure that they were not able to make their marriage work and how they lost the love and decided to go their separate ways.

Recently, buzz about divorce being legalized in the Philippines is circulating in various social media groups. Some people who are just waiting for the right time and opportunity to have their ties with their estranged partners severed are all for it. Again there are those who take a very different view of the matter. Whatever the laws of the land decide about divorce, I still think that no rule is infallible and even those who tried harder can really only do so much. Marriage are after all not just all about the beautiful wedding ceremonies and it was never as easy as to look for burlap runner wedding months before the big day. It takes dedication and commitment on both parties to make it work. Others do not succeed and then there are those who makes it to their happy ever after ending. Maybe this just goes to show that much like many other things in life, marriage is not really for everyone.

Learning Kindness In School

A few more weeks and it will be the start of a new school year yet again. Moms will be busy buying school supplies, books, uniforms and other items their little ones might need in school. The best way to give thanks for all the blessings you receive in your life is to share them with other people around you, especially the less fortunate ones. You do not really have to spend a considerable amount of money in doing so. You can find creative and imaginative ways on how you can share your blessings with others.

Here are a few things you might want to consider:

If you are a gifted artist, why not create an artwork or an exhibit. You can give back by giving all or part of the money you get from it to your favorite charity.
If you are talented in the kitchen, why not make a few batches of cupcakes and other baked goodies and share them with the street kids you see in your neighborhood. You can also try selling them to your friends and neighbors and split your earnings to shop here for mixer lift and give to those who are in need.

Of course, you can always volunteer in a local home for the aged or orphanage to give a part of your precious time to our brothers and sisters who need them the most.

I know you will agree that one of the most rewarding thing you can do as a believer is to help your church continue its mission and outreach programs in whatever way you can. If you are well off and are earning good money you can always donate a portion of your earning to your ministry to buy cowbell at GC or other items that will be of need in your church. If you are not that financially well off you can always donate secondhand items that others can use like old books, old furniture or clothes and shoes that your children have outgrown. Or you can always help your church by volunteering and donating your precious time. You can participate in the summer outreach or feeding program, helping your church reach out to those who are in need and finding ways how you can help out, too.

Remember that you are never too poor, too busy or too miserable not to be able to help and reach out to those who needed help the most.

He Will Always Be With Us

One of the memory verses in the Bible that I love runs is found in Psalms 91:1,2 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

This is a very beautiful promise for us to claim when things are not so right with us. When one believes this promise, he or she will never be afraid of anything because when we believe and trust Him, He will always be our refuge. If you read through the whole chapter, you can find that this is a beautiful chapter to be memorized and have it played in your mind over and over again where ever you are.

I made it a habit to read a verse or a chapter every morning. Together with it, I listen to spiritual songs as well as uplifting instrumental music. Many instrumental music like tuba is very inspiring especially in the quiet hours of the morning.

Spreading The Word of God Through Print

You will often see people in the streets, in the malls or anywhere that is frequented with people doling out their folded pieces of paper to people who pass by. They are what you might call modern day evangelists trying to spread the Word of God through the most convenient and practical way they can think of, with the paper that they hand out to every stranger that pass their way as a tool for their crusade. Most people will probably accept these paper but not most of them will read it. In fact, more of these paper will probably just end up littering the streets, thrown and unread. A total waste of time, efforts and resources. Would it really be too much to read them, they won’t eat much of your time really.

It is a great Christian value to help especially those who are in need. When weather and climate changes, are men better to adjust and cope? How about the body build?
