Blessings and Beyond

strolling through life with struggles and victories

First Day of School

My son went to his first day of school as a Preparatory Student. I was kind of happy because my boy did not show any sign of separation anxiety. In fact, he was the one who told me that he should be left behind in school because he is already a big boy.

The class went great. I could see that my boy was very excited and was full of energy. He participated as much as he can and even pulled-off some jokes. And because he participated in writing letters at the blackboard, he got himself a star on his hands. Of course, I was really proud of my son but I was a little disappointed because the teacher used a pentel pen to draw a star instead of the traditional rubber stamp. As the teacher placed the star, I was already thinking how many days would it take for the ink to fade. Permanent markers are really hard to get rid with plain water and soap.

Oh well, I hope the teacher will use a rubber stamp next time. If she doesn’t, her students will have no skin left to place the other stars when earned. LOL!!
