Last Monday evening, my husband downloaded three large files while I was uploading one. I started my uploading around 8PM (Monday) then he followed to download the three around 10PM same day. To my amazement, my uploading lasted around 4AM (Tuesday) while two of the three files that my husband downloaded were finished around 4PM same day. The last file took longer to download as it was completed around 11PM (Tuesday), which took about 25 hours to download!
I was pretty confused since my internet service provider’s (ISP) cell tower is just a walking distance away from the house but still I am experiencing a seriously slow downloading and uploading speed. I don’t know if there is a difference if you are using a broadband or DSL connection when it comes to speed. But as for experiences is concern, my DSL connection before was faster when it comes to downloading and uploading but when they are down, they lasted about 1 to 3 days. While my broadband connection, though slow when downloading and uploading, when they have a problem, they are down about 2 to 3 hours max.
How about you? What are your experiences with your ISP?
