Look for Exit Signs

As a parent, what do you usually do when you enter public places with your family? Well, I guess some of your might answer – the comfort room! But as for me, I would boldly say that I always look for EXIT SIGNS!! Yup, you heard me correctly. That is the first thing I always look for when I enter public places such as the mall, theater houses, hospitals, government offices, hotels and others.

Looking for exit signs is the safest thing to do whenever you are in public places so that when emergency situation comes like fire or earthquake, you always know where to go when sudden events might occur. At least if you know where the emergency exits are located, you won’t panic and run over the main entrance which usually ends up with a stampede because most people run there when something happens. Unfortunately, there are some cases that most exits are closed because they fear thieves might break-in. I just wonder if something happens, will they not panic and open it for us? Oh well, we will never know.

Anyway, the next time you go into public places, don’t forget to check out the nearest exit sign in the area. You might never know that you might need to exit through it that day! Better be safe always than regret it later.
